The meerkat stands as still as a statue and keeps an eye out. Only its pointed nose twitches from time to time, scenting. Did something move in the tall grass? The other clan members are happily digging for insects while this meerkat keeps watch. Brave! When danger threatens, it emits a shrill call to warn the others. But this time everything is quiet. Slowly it also gets hungry. Time to dive into the group hustle and bustle. Maybe it will find a fat beetle?
